# Error analysis

> See which error codes affect your WhatsApp messages, how often they occur, and which templates they affect on the Errors tab of Insights.

The **Errors** tab on the [Insights](https://docs.gateway.connexease.com/dashboard/insights/overview.md) page shows the errors your messages ran into during the selected period. The number on the tab shows the total number of errors in the period. The channel, **All Apps**, and **Date** filters at the top of the page apply to this tab. See [Page controls](https://docs.gateway.connexease.com/dashboard/insights/overview.md#page-controls).

Every error belongs to one of three stages, as described in [Where messages fail](https://docs.gateway.connexease.com/dashboard/insights/overview.md#where-messages-fail):

| Stage | Description |
| :- | :- |
| **Rejected by Gateway** | The request never reached Meta. |
| **Rejected by Meta at send** | Gateway accepted the request, but the WhatsApp Cloud API refused it. |
| **Failed after send** | The message was sent, but its status webhook returned `failed`. |

## Top error codes

Shows the error codes with the most occurrences in the selected period. Each row shows the code, a short name, a bar for its relative volume, and its count. The bar color shows when the error happened:

| Color | Description |
| :- | :- |
| **Red** | After send. |
| **Yellow** | Before send. |

## Templates × error codes

A grid that shows which templates are affected by which error codes. Each row is a template and each column is an error code. The cell shows the number of failed messages, and darker cells mean more failures.

## All error codes

Lists all known error codes, including those that did not occur. A count of `0` means the error did not occur in the selected period.

Use the dropdown in the top right corner to filter the list, and the **Search** box to find a code or keyword.

| Column | Description |
| :- | :- |
| **Code** | Error code, with its stage underneath. Some codes include a subcode, for example `100 · 2388001`. |
| **What happened** | A short name for the error and an explanation of the cause and what to do. |
| **Count** | Number of messages with this error in the period. |
| **Share** | The error's share of all errors in the period. |
