When your API call returns HTTP 200, $0.001 is immediately deducted from your balance. This fee is independent of whether the message reaches the recipient.
What it covers
The fee applies to all successful sends, regardless of message type:
- Text
- Image, audio, video, document, sticker
- Template
- Interactive
What is not charged
A rejected request is not charged. If the Gateway returns an error — validation failure, rate limit, insufficient balance — no infrastructure fee is deducted, because the send did not succeed.
Use is_fake=true during development and testing. The billing pipeline runs, including the balance check, but no fee is deducted and the Meta API is not called.
